This morning, we went to Apple Jack's Orchard in Delano, MN. A friend of ours, Jill Sandager, sent out an email saying that her family was going and we jumped at the opportunity to go with them. I have always heard the apples (honey crisp) in Minnesota are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I remember last year at this time in the Minneapolis airport, there was a lady telling me I needed to go an apple orchard and get some of Minnesota's own apples. I wanted to go last fall when we first moved up here but we never got around to it. Okay, so back to today. We arrived and we instantly smelled apple cider and yummy apple donuts-it was awesome. The girls played around on the hay bales, went through a maze, saw a few animals (turkeys and goats) and Harper rode a horse. We later went inside and tasted the yummy donuts and apple cider (I think I want to go back next weekend just for these treats). After our snack, we went across the street to pick our own apples. To say we had fun, is an understatement.
