While my parents were here, we went to the Minnesota Zoo. It was incredible-there were so many fun and exotic animals. There was a Dr. Seuss theme throughout the zoo. We spent about 4 hours there and we could of spent another 6 hours--so much to see, so little time.

Here are the girls are soon as we arrived at the zoo...the morning was chilly but by the time we left, it was very warm

The first thing we did was ride the tram around the zoo to get an idea of where everything was located-the girls loved to look out the window at the animals

My sweet girls and I

Next we went to see the sea lions-here the girls are petting sea lion fur-it was incredibly soft

The little girls on the boys shoulders looking at the amazing bears that were playing in the water

One of the bears that was showing off in the water

A new colt that was born on May 24, which was just a few days before we went to the zoo. The mother horse circled the baby while it slept. It was pretty amazing to watch her protective instinct.

Camels
Here is a little fact we learned-camels are born without a hump-it grows as they grow

Tiger

Buffalo

One of my all-time favorite pictures of these two! I think Harper has a little bit of tom-boy in her.
Next we watched the dolphin show-it was incredible (it only lasted 15 minutes) but it makes me want to go to Sea World!

And she's done-she wasn't actually asleep but I couldn't resist this photo opportunity!
I have so many more pictures of our zoo experience but most of them are of the animals. We had a blast and can't wait to go back. Luckily, Peter bought us a yearly pass.
