Let me preface this story with we (Peter and I) decided it was time for Harper to be potty trained. Last weekend, we spent 3 long days in the bathroom with Harper every 15 minutes trying to get her to go potty. There were many accidents and only a few "successful" true potties. So this past week, we backed off the potty training because it seemed we were only creating problems. Today, Harper was playing in the playroom by herself and I hear her say "Mommy, I peeped.". By the way, she calls pee-"peep". I quickly ran upstairs only to find her with a wet dress and without a diaper. So, I asked Harper where she peed and she said "in the mud"....MUD, I ASK??? We don't have mud in the playroom and then she pointed to the Jumpalene, which is a large inflatable jumping apparatus with balls inside. Sure enough, I looked inside only to find PEE. Needless to say, I spent the next 30 minutes cloroxing the entire thing and all of the balls. I asked her why she peed in there and she said "I don't pee in diaper." Last weekend, we TRIED to teach her not to pee in her diaper but to pee in the toilet. Apparently, something sunk in last weekend but not what we had hoped.
While I'm blogging, I have another "Harper story". Yesterday, we were sitting at breakfast and I asked Harper what she wanted to do that day...she answered with "ride an elephant?" so I said, "I'm sorry honey, we can't ride an elephant today." She responded with "ride a seal?" We aren't really sure where she got this from but needless to say, she entertains us everyday, all day. We are so amazed with our two little blessings!
