To my precious Adeline Taylor: You're TWO; my baby girl is all grown up and is TWO! When we ask you "How old are you?" You say "TWO!" but you hold up one finger-it's just so precious! Oh my, this past year has been amazing watching you grow and develop into such a little lady. I will never, ever forget the day you were born. I love to watch you laugh; I love to watch you smile; I love to watch you learn and explore. I am so PROUD of you and how you have handled the last year of your life. Adeline, you simply amaze me everyday. You are continuously learning new words and you are making longer and longer sentences. I was worried about how you would make the transition from Oklahoma to Minnesota but you have done beautifully! You have a smile that brightens my day. Adeline you will talk to anyone, smile at anyone and wave to anyone. I know peoples lives have been touched by your sweet, loving spirit. I adore watching you when someone is praying (yes, I open by eyes-bad, I know)-you squint your little eyes and grin. Oh sweet Adeline, I adore that you remind us to pray when we forget. You scream "prayers, prayers, prayers" until we stop and pray. You're my tender hearted, my sweet spirited, my miss independent, my miss personality, my social butterfly, my strong-willed child, my little lover and my "big" helper-you and your sister are my pride and joy. Everyday, you like to be on the go....you will go to the door and say "go, go" even when you just got up. The first word out of your mouth everyday is "eat." Even though, you are a tiny tot and you don't eat much, you love to eat what you love....you are a picky eater. I wish you would eat vegetables and any fruit besides apples. Adeline, you are starting to show signs that you are developing a temper but you still amaze me with how well you mind. I will say "Do you need to go to your room?" and you will say "yes" and go quietly or I will say "Do you need a spanking?" and you will say "no" and straighten right up. When I do have to count "1, 2..." to get you do to something....I will say "1" and you will say "2" and go directly to what I wanted you to do-it makes me giggle and I pray your behavior is always this good. I can't interview you but I thought it would be fun to document some facts about you: FAVORITE COLOR: don't know b/c you don't really know your colors (mommy needs to work on these with you) FAVORITE FOOD: Cheese FAVORITE TOY: baby dolls, doll house and any phone FAVORITE THING TO DO: Play with your sister FAVORITE BOOK: anything that has pictures that hide and you can move the flap to see them FAVORITE PLACE TO GO: park FAVORITE DRINK: Juice FAVORITE SHOW: Dora or Max and Ruby FAVORITE FRIEND: "ook" (Luke) our neighbor in the apartment complex-he is moving in a few day and I know you will be so, so sad! FAVORITE SONG: You love to sing your "ABC's" and you are so sweet singing along with us as we sing "Jesus Loves Me" I don't have your stats from the doctor because I am waiting to take you and Harper on the same day for your well-check appointments. You are wearing a size 5 in shoes, size 2T shirts and dresses and 18-24 months for pants and shorts. Adeline, you love to play dress-up with your sister.; you have also decided that you have to have a bow in your hair at all times! Before we moved on October 21st-you were attending Mother's Day Out at the Early Learning Academy at FUMC 3 days a week. Now, you stay at home with mommy when Harper goes to school 2 mornings a week. Most days, you cry when we drop her off but I love my special "Adeline" time. Lately, your new thing is to strip as soon as you get into bed. You take off your pants and diaper and you have even unzipped your footed pajamas. I have done more laundry in the last week. We finally decided to tape you into your diaper (and so far, it's working). You finally gave up your pacifier 3 days before your 2nd birthday-I'm going to be honest-it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but I am still glad it's over. Everyone says they want to have a little girl just like you! You are a such a cuddly bug and you still love to snuggle up in our laps. Adeline, you instantly make friends and everyone loves and adores your friendly personality. You love to do anything your big sister does. I can't wait to see what this next year will bring our family. You are such a delight and I am so HONORED that God chose me to be your mommy! Daddy and I are so proud of you and love you more than you will ever know! Mommy
